A short shank gag with loose rein ring. The compact cheek functions similar to a ring bit but allows use of a curb chain to increase collection and bend. The mouthpiece is made of sweet iron and has three equal breaks. This allows for tongue relief, while intensifying the pressure on the outside of the bars.
